Very cool symbolism; I am really liking your interpretations of life. My favorite part of this one is the way the old man seems to look directly at the trap, considers for a moment, and then deliberately shoves his foot right in there… “things we do without knowing why”.

Whoa, thanks, a reply! Sorry that I didn’t write back sooner. Print-on-demand would be pretty good if you self-publish (I would definitely buy one). I’ve seen stuff from lulu.com and it’s pretty good, especially if you wanted to retain the rights.

Have you ever heard of “Therefore Repent!” by Jim Munroe? Your work reminds me of it, tonally…though I feel like you’re a little more austere.

I’m a first-time visitor of this site, but I’ve since read all off your stuff…it’s just incredible. The English is beautiful, too, and most native speakers I know wouldn’t know what “anagnorisis” is, though I guess it’s more Greek than English…makes me wonder if I should try writing in a non-native language.
This comic has to be one of my favorites, aside from the whole “Unspeakable” arc. Such a great, delicate feeling here. This stuff deserves to be published, and not just by some small press. That’s cheating yourself. Best of luck with this great art, Mr. Santapan.

The man in the vision represents the main character’s love. As time passes with his girlfriend, his love for her grows older, and, perhaps, frailer.

He kisses someone new, and creates new, young love. New love, that’s set a trap for his old love.

New love, that will kill his old love.

I could be wrong, of course.

I assumed that the person with the gun at the end was the woman he was kissing… It makes more sense that way. (he no longer sees himself growing old alone)
