“This episode is considered non-canon by fans and producers alike”. I laughed, I can really imagine newsgroups and forums about this whole ”non-canonical” ending.
But actually, The Spirit Cabinet was linked to “The Tommy Westphall Universe Hypothesis”.
Fifteen years later the repeating device would be used in the infamous “Endless Eight” arc of the popular anime The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, where it is justified in-universe as the characters being stuck in a time loop, although the anime’s director, Tatsuya Ishihara, claims not to have been aware of The Spirit Cabinet before creating “Endless Eight”.

This idea is so amazing that it makes me angry. Someone needs to do something like this. I think it would be fascinating.
More importantly, it’s nice to see you back. I’ve missed this.

Beautiful. I would definitely tune in every night for this show. Especially if it were as haunting as The Secret Knots.

The narrator looks like Jason Alexander. I’d watch this show. I love the secret knots.
